Lost IQ is a jazz trio created in 2023 within the walls of Siena Jazz University, born from the meeting of three musicians with very different experiences and backgrounds. Beyond the immediate chemistry in the interplay, it is through Francesco Faro's compositions that the trio shapes the sound of the ensemble, always seeking a musical identity that is fresh, dynamic and constantly evolving.
In 2024 the trio carries out a residency at the Tbilisi State Conservatoire and performs in some of the capital's main jazz clubs, including 1984, Jazz Union and Arteria. The fruitful collaboration with the latter leads to the first edition of the Arteria Jazz Festival (April 2025), where the trio is invited to perform together with singer Likuna Tutisani, with whom it records the EP "Likuna & Lost IQ" (Bravo Records, 2025).
In March 2025, Lost IQ records its self-titled debut album in the south of France, produced by Ziv Ravitz (Dominic Miller, Shai Maestro, Esperanza Spalding, Lee Konitz, among others). Released on June 20 by the Sicilian label Anaglyphos, the album brings together pieces shaped by Mediterranean jazz, funk and rock, and has already surpassed 50,000 streams on Spotify.
Lost IQ è un trio jazz nato nel 2023 tra le mura di Siena Jazz University, dall'incontro di tre musicisti con esperienze e percorsi molto diversi. Oltre all'immediata chimica nell'interplay, è attraverso le composizioni di Francesco Faro che il trio definisce il suono dell'ensemble, alla ricerca costante di un'identità musicale fresca, dinamica e in continua evoluzione.
Nel 2024 il trio svolge una residenza al Conservatorio Statale di Tbilisi e si esibisce in alcuni dei principali jazz club della capitale, tra cui 1984, Jazz Union e Arteria. La proficua collaborazione con quest'ultimo porta alla prima edizione dell'Arteria Jazz Festival (aprile 2025), dove il trio è invitato a esibirsi insieme alla cantante Likuna Tutisani, con cui registra l'EP "Likuna & Lost IQ" (Bravo Records, 2025).

Pubblicato il 20 giugno dall'etichetta siciliana Anaglyphos, l'album raccoglie brani che intrecciano jazz mediterraneo, funk e rock e ha già superato i 50.000 stream su Spotify.
